Rag & Famish Hotel 18ft Skiff Racing

The Rag & Famish Hotel has been sponsoring an 18 foot skiff, Rag & Famish Hotel, for well over a decade. The skiff races out of the Australian 18 Footers League at Double Bay, competing in the clubs annual regattas and championships from October through April.

The Rag skiff racing team has been highly successful, winning and placing in the top 3 in numerous championships including taking out the highly coveted JJ Giltinan Trophy in 2001 and finishing 3rd in the 2007 and 5th in 2008.

In the 08 off season, John Harris and Scott Babbage competed in the Moth Class World Championships with John taking out the title and Scott finishing in 5th place. The result is a great confidence booster going into the start of the 08-09 skiff season and with a new boat, The Rag crew is looking for a successful season.
