Rag & Famish Hotel 18ft Skiff Racing

The Rag & Famish Hotel has been sponsoring an 18 foot skiff, Rag & Famish Hotel, for well over a decade. The skiff races out of the Australian 18 Footers League at Double Bay, competing in the clubs annual regattas and championships from October through April.

The Rag skiff racing team has been highly successful, winning and placing in the top 3 in numerous championships including taking out the highly coveted JJ Giltinan Trophy in 2001 and finishing 3rd in the 2007 and 5th in 2008. Winner NSW Title 2008/9

Text Box: JJG PREVIEW| RAG HISTORICAL CONNECTIONS It is no surprise the Rag & Famish Hotel 18ft Skiff team is continuing to grow into one of the top competitors for the 2012 Giltinan Championship, which will be sailed on Sydney Harbour from 17-26 February. The three members of the team are not only experienced 18ft Skiff sailors, but each has family members who are part of 18 Footers history as does team sponsors Peter & Anna Calligeros, owners of the hotel. This week there is a Twilight Race on Friday evening as well as the Sunday afternoon race so 2 opps to get out on the harbour and support the Rag.
